The way points of this bicycle route:
Deloraine is a really pretty town. Bike around and look at the river, houses. The Deloraine hotel is very classy inside and has a nice bistro restaurant.
The caravan park is down here right on the river. It is a great spot to camp. However, the goods trains come thru at midnight and 2am so be warned. Personally, I loved camping here.
Emu Bay Rd is the heart of Deloraine. The Empire Hotel does a mean Thai and the Deli is highly recommended.
Tourist information is just here on the left. Also the British Inn is the only one of the 4 hotels that serves counter meals.
Turning onto the B12 but not a lot of traffic and good shoulders for cyclists.
Turn off onto picturesque farm roads.
Turn on to the Bass Highway. There is a good shoulder, but trucks do use the road and the speed limit is 110. If you aren't keen, turn right to Christmas Hills Road and the Raspberry farm cafe, then retrace your route back to Deloraine.
The ElizabethTown Bakery is right here. Have a coffee on the way to Ashgrove Cheese or on the way back.
As far as you cycle from Deloraine: Ashgrove Cheese Factory and Cafe. Look at the cheesemaking, eat lunch on the outside tables and buy some cheese for later. Once you are finished retrace your route down the highway to Elizabeth Town Bakery (coffee and the paper) and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm Cafe (dessert of course). Return to Deloraine on the highway or retrace the backroads. I took a lazy 4 hours to do the circuit, including at least 2 hours of eating time
