The way points of this bicycle route:
Somewhere along this first few miles, there is (was) an old bridge that was recently washed away in heavy rains and flooding. I'm not sure when this route will be available again.
Doo Lough is on your left. This is a great stretch, as you head toward Doo Lough Pass.
This is approximately where Doo Lough Pass tops out - not very high. Also, I recall having very strong tailwinds as we were riding up the pass. It was a great feeling.
I think this is where you can begin a hike up to Croagh Patrick. Also across the road from the parking lot for the foot path up the mountain, you'll find a memorial to the many victims of the famine who died on ships leaving Ireland for N. America and other places.
This is our destination.
