Day 4 - Iron Donkey Connemara Tour
by MikeBikes

The way points of this bicycle route:

Left turn onto the "Bog Road". Strong prevailing winds should be at your back!

Left turn at the intersection.

Right turn onto N59. This is a busier road, but this is a good riding road.

Turn left (north) here. This road is less traveled and is incredibly scenic.

You've been riding along Lough Inagh. Somewhere back along this stretch, the winds started hitting you in the face. It doesn't let up for awhile yet! Get as aero as you can.

Left turn onto N59 (Connemara Loop).

Take a break here at Kylemore Abbey. They have a visitor's cafeteria ...

Watch for the right turn, north to Tully Cross.

As you enter Tully Cross, there is a "roundabout" or more of a "triangle", of sorts. The road to Gowlaun is off to the right.

There are some nice views of Killary Harbor along this road.

Left onto N59. This is the final stretch into Leenane.

This stretch is along the only fjord in Ireland. Soon you'll have a long downhill run into Leenane.

Leenane

Stop for the night here.
