The way points of this bicycle route:
Route begins at Starbucks opposite Sutter Davis Hospital
Turn SOUTH on frontage road
Turn LEFT and ride WEST on W. Covell Blvd. There is a bike lane. This is high traffic but with wide shoulders.
Turn LEFT and ride South on Pedrick Road. Narrow shoulders and relatively high traffic. The turn is a 4-way stop.
Turn RIGHT and ride WEST on Russell. You can elect to go through the intersection and ride the bike path that follows Russell but you'll have to cross twice.
Turn LEFT and ride SOUTH on Rd 95. This can be a tricky intersection.
Turn RIGHT and ride WEST on Sievers. Only on this for a few hundred yards before you turn off. There's a reasonable amount of traffic on Sievers.
Turn LEFT and ride SOUTH on Schroeder Rd. It's fairly low-traffic.
Turn RIGHT and ride WEST. Low traffic road.
Turn LEFT and ride SOUTH on Meridian Rd. Good surface, higher traffic route.
Turn RIGHT and ride WEST. Low traffic in reasonably good condition.
There can be traffic both entering and exiting I-505. The road gets rough here and there are frontage roads also.
Turn LEFT onto Timm Rd. Rural and the rollers begin.
Turn RIGHT and ride WEST. Peaceful Glen is in good shape with light traffic although the traffic can be fast. More rollers.
Peaceful Glen bends to the LEFT and becomes English Hills Road.
Turn RIGHT. Cantelow immediately narrows, the surface gets rougher and your in a tree-lined canyon that climbs and twists.
Turn LEFT and ride SOUTH. Steiger climbs but is good to ride and quite pretty. Deer are often seen.
Turn RIGHT and ride SOUTH. Gibson Canyon has much higher volume traffic and narrow shoulders.
Turn LEFT for one block on Main.
Main Street becomes Buck Ave.
Turn LEFT on Hemlock
Turn RIGHT
Turn LEFT. You're out of Vacaville urban area at this point.
Turn RIGHT. A gorgeous ride. You climb for a bit and then a long down-hill slope all the way to Lake Solano.
Turn RIGHT onto Putah Creek Rd. Your on a heavily cycled route now but sorta rough.
Turn LEFT and you're back on the route you started earlier but going the other way.
Turn RIGHT and follow either Russell Blvd or the adjacent bike path EAST.
After crossing Pedrick take the bike path that runs parallel to Russell to the south.

A basically rural ride through Solano County along Pleasants Valley Rd on the return. There are options with a return via the flat-land if the wind is strong from the SW.
