The way points of this bicycle route:
Begin at the southwest corner of the central square, in front of the city hall (built in 1731). Proceed south on Biskupska.
Bridge over the Malše River, a tributary that joins the Vltava here. After crossing the bridge, there is a cycleway that follows the Vltava River south, on the east bank. Turn right to follow this cycleway.
Cross Route 156, the main east-west highway into the city. Continue on cycleway along the Vlatava River.
The cycleway merges onto a city street, Beránkovo Nábřeži, and continues to follow the river.
Turn right onto Lidická Třida.
A neighborhood on the outskirts of České Budějovice.
Cycle Track 12 turns right immediately before railroad tracks.
Overpass. Cross Route 3 (E55), a major highway.
Railroad crossing.
Cycle Track 12 turns left, away from the river, and begins an off-road segment, crossing some fields an a minor farm track.
Cycle Track 12 briefly follows a frontage along the west side of Route 3 (E55)
The town is on the other side of the highway. A petrol station is immediately across the highway.
The road breaks away from the main highway. Cycle Track 12 bears to the west.
You can either take Cycle Track 12, or bypass about a kilometer by going on the road to Záluží.
Cycle Track 12 turns right and begins an off-road segment, traversing the fields and woods in the direction of the old abbey at Zlatá Koruna, which is visible in the distance.
Cycle Track 12 reachs the river below the abbey, and follows the east bank briefly until it reaches the bridge.
Turn right and cross the bridge towards the old monastery.
The former abbey in Zlatá Koruna is open to the public, and contains a small museum. Zlatá Koruna, founded by King Premysl Otakar II in 1263, is one of the best-preserved Cistercian monasteries in the Czech Republic.

Cycle Track 12 turns to the left.
A brief off-road segment begins here, as Cycle Track 12 traverses some fields next to a wooded area.
Cycle Track 12 reaches paved road again, and turns left towards Český Krumlov.
After crossing through an industrial area, cross railroad tracks and enter residential area.

Finish at northern entrance to the old city.

From Ceske Budejovice to Cesky Krumlov, Cycle Track 12 runs mostly on minor paved country roads, with a few brief off-road segments. The highlight of the ride is the ancient abbey at Zlatá Koruna, about midway between the cities.
