The way points of this bicycle route:
Starting at the car park just off Station Road.
Cross Station Approach and follow the Cuckoo Trail alongside Thorny Close.
Cross Newham Way and again follow the trail.
Cross over Old Ghyll Road and keep following the trail.
Cross Ghyll Road and again keep following the trail.
When you reach Tubwell Lane turn right on to it.
Tubwell Lane ends a T junction with West Street Lane. Turn left.
West Street Lane ends at a crossroads with the A267 and Sandy Lane. Cross the A267 and follow Sandy Lane until it ends.
At the end of Sandy Lane turn right on to Hanging Birch Lane.
At the next junction (three roads at a triangle of grass) turn left. I can't find a road name for this but it joins Furnace Lane.
When you join Furnace Lane from the right keep going past the first left (Dem Lane) to the next junction.
Having passed Dem Lane on the left bear left at the next junction.
At the next junction bear right/straight on. Keep an eye out for The Star pub on the right.
At the next junction bear left (Whitehouse Lane is on the right).
After going past Whitehouse Lane on the right take the next right down North Street.
Keep following North Street until the end where it joins Fir Grove Road. At Fir Grove Road turn left.
At the next junction turn right on to Warren Lane.
After nearly a mile cross the main road and keep going.
Cross the next main road at Mayfield Flat and bear left (not turn left) down Nursery Lane.
After nearly a mile take the first left down Riverside.
At the T junction turn right which is still Riverside.
Take the second right (135 degree angle).
Take the second right (135 degree angle).

Take the second right (135 degree angle).
Take the third right up Wilderness Lane.
When Wilderness Lane forks take the right hand fork (both are still Wilderness Lane).
At the end of the road you come out on the A272 at Harrow Down nearly opposite the New Inn. Turn right on to the A272 (which is a very main road).
Take the second left into Wheelers Lane and follow to the end.
At the end of Wheelers Lane turn right into Brick Kiln Lane.
When Criers Lane comes to Five Ashes bear left.
When you get to the A267 you should join the main road at the same point as another small road, take a hard left down that one (not down the A267).
Take the second right (Fir Toll Road) and follow that until it meets the A267 again.
When you reach the main road cross the road and go up the path opposite which brings you out on to Fir Toll Close.
At the end of Fir Toll Close turn right on to Station Road/Stone Cross (map is a bit uncertain which road is which).
After about 600ft the road forks, take the left fork and follow down Knowle Hill.
As the road takes it's 3rd serious left you should see a drive/small road on your right and near to that a the entrance to a path through the trees. Take that path (or if you want to stay on road keep going on Newick Lane.
Follow the path south through the woods towards Marklye Lane.
Join the end of Marklye Lane and follow to the end.
When you reach the bottom of Marklye Lane cross the A265 and take Tower Street.
Take the fourth right up Station Road and follow to the end opposite the car park where you started.
