This final leg of the Route 40 Cross-Country Bike Trip is an easy ride. The highest elevation point is 139 above sea level. The only challenge is the Delaware Memorial Bridge, which does not permit pedestrians. And, except for the DMB area, the entire route is away from major highways. The New Jersey section traverses the entire state without a parallel Interstate Highway! On this leg you'll travel through three states - Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey.
