This is another easy day of riding with a 1,500 overall descent over 113 miles. With the strong winds from the west you can pretty much coast all the way! The only special consideration for this day's riding is that a significant portion of the old Route 40 alignment is unpaved gravel road. There are plenty of small towns with generous hospitality. If you follow this itinerary, you do so at your own risk. Failure to exercise good judgment can result in traffic violation citations, injury and even death.
