The way points of this bicycle route:

Royal Botanic gardens depot

Entrance to the RBG Carpark and Australian Garden

Cemetery Road unsealed and very sloppy when its wet

Gates to the race training complex - open early to ~ 4pm each day

Cranbourne Race Training Complex (watch out for the horses they can on occasion get a bit spooked by seeing a bike rider)

Cranbourne Station: the bike and train ride option

Need to merge watch for cars turning left

Another merge!

Not much of shoulder along this section

Another merge. Watch for left turning cars

Dandenong by pass - Another merge

Pricess Hwy

can be a bit tricky crossing here to the Dandenong Creek Trail

Dandenong Creek Trail - off road trail for the next 17 k's

Gravel surface for this section

Underpass at Kidds Road

Myuna Farm

Follow the footpath here

Underpass at Heatherton Road

Underpass the Monash Freeway

Nice winding section through woodland with the creek rippling to your right

Underpass at Stud Rd

Gravel section here

Dandenong Creek Trail joins the Eastlink Trail here

The glossy Leaved trees opposite the trial here are Muttonwood trees. They are of local conservation significance and quite rare

Eastlink Trail

Nice wide concrete path for the next few k's

Path allignment has actually change due to Eastlink upgrades here

Wellington Rd underpass - often underwater after heavy rains - if flooded dont attempt to ford. I did once and got very wet

Ferntree Gully Road underpass - again one that floods after heavy rain

Eastlink Trial continues over the bridge to the east

Uphill and loose gravel here

One of Jells park picnic areas. Good place to start a ride along the Eastlink or Dandenong Creek trails

take the right fork here

Sharp right down the hill towards the bridge

Left turn after the bridge on to the gravel pathway

Left turn here. The trial to the right continues through to high street road

narrow gate opening here

Back on the roads, good steady climb for a couple of k's

If there is a lot of traffic here i tend to go up a little futher and cross Gallaghers road at the pedestrian lights

Glen Waverly Shops

Nice downhill run into Syndal

Along the shared path that follows the rail line through to Mt Waverly station

steep section here!

head past the train station and through the station carpark

Huntingdale Road

Thats it for the commute home!
