The way points of this bicycle route:
Cross main road, follow the Jolleys sign.
Bit of an incline here
Turn left, head towards railway line.
Cross railway line
Past the kennels
On Wagonways Route, gradual slope down to the Tyne.
On path over railway to head for Pedestrian tunnel.
Cross Over road
Cross over dual carriageway
Get in lift and through tunnel. Its free.
Head towards to Pipe.
Follow main road for a little way.
Turn left
Where road bears right, go left to join cycle path.
Under bridge. nice and flat.
Cross road
Join road for a little way.
Cull-de-Sac. Join the Bowes Cycle Path. Lots of slow down points along this route (very annoying!)
Cross Road
Start to Climb a bit now.
Keep Right - you will come out at the Bowes Museam car park.
Go back on track again.
Downhill now!!!
Under A1 through tunnel on bridlepath.
Join road and traffic!
There is a good path at the road side.
