The way points of this bicycle route:

mississauga valley

Busses along here are slow. semi major burb street, they stop every other stop to let someone off - 25km/h biking really beats busses!

small plaza with a chiropracty office in front, opens up to parking lot and walkway to street behind, dont miss it.

If you find a gap in traffic you can see the lake very easily from here - as well as ACROSS the lake to St Catharines on a very clear day. beautiful sunset reflection on condo buildings down by the lake 5-8km to the south!

do NOT be tempted by the path thru the grass leading east behind the fence of the parking lot to the north. this leads to a dead end area that only escapes south to dundas. nasty. stay on tracK!

downtown mississaugan trailerpark

Ricky, bubbles and Julian eat yer hearts out.

make sure you go NORTH of this industrial building, or you end up down at dundas near Croatia restaurant (at the robins egg awning..)

dundas suckass but whatcha gonna do. gotta get over etob creek there...

bloor sux too but gotta get over the 427!

might be worth just riding the sidewalk on the north side of bloor instead... safer, and dont have to wait for as much light.

srsly, stay on the cement by the basketball courts. super rough grass field much slower.

do NOT turn right here. as you can see, leads nowhere good. my mistake.

bathroom break available in north field by the towers, but bumpy ride out to them.... and nosy homeowners in backyards... ugh.

Burnhamthrope cres is ONE WAY west, and full of cars cutting the corner from dundas to Burnham, dont bother. Its impossible to get on dundas east from it... use the lights at burn/dundas, easier and faster.

Dundas sucks. but there's no other easier way over the humber etc in this area :(

the whole dundas/humber thing sux, would be good to find a path to the footbridge in the park over the river. please post details if you find it.

dundas humber river bridge - currently one lane in each dir (Oct 2008). Take your lane and ride with pride as a legal vehicle. Dont let anyone pass, too narrow and dangerous.

scarlett flats

YES go down the hill to the road below, do NOT take the path at the top of the hill. you end up in a bad spot and having to go down a drainage rut down a 45 degree dirt slope... with a bike... in the dark... :/ take the hit early. go DOWN the hill to Terry.

Do NOT take the nice bike path between Hillborn and Symes, takes you to Weston, with no out, which sux. Weston is super busy and dangerous. Hit Hillborn and McCormack etc. avon is a sweet diagonal win.

Take forbes tho it looks ike an alleyway compared to Bicknell. I ended up on Gilpin -> Aileen, and went up the stairs at Silverthorn to Aileen east which is an island on the top of a hill, which shoved by back down to rogers (downhill), had to cross under the tracks, and uphill again to get on track. Make sure you use nashville.

If you do end up south at Blackthorn and Aileen, go down the stairs at the north end of blackthorn back to Dunraven.

Ooh, scary tunnel under the tracks! whee! (has lights on 24/7).

Caledonia sucks! cars all spaced out at 2-5s intervals, difficult to merge. Might be better to go thru Bert Rob pk to Kitchener and just cross Caledonia...
