The way points of this bicycle route:

Colne

After leaving the Railway station, turn immediately Left through the grounds of the sports centre where there is a marked cycle path

Alkincoats Park

At traffic lights on busy A6068, go straight across and take second Right turn up through the park

RB at Langroyd. go straight across road.

Straight on across A56 onto Castle Road

Passing Skipton Golf Club, the road starts to climb up Skipton Old Road

Lane Ends

At Lane Ends pub, the climb eases significantly

An exhillarating descent now to the turn off for Lothersdale but keep going straight ahead up the tough climb ahead.

The angle of climb eases at about this point

At the radio/TV antenna, you've reached the highest point on the route

A fast, fairly straight downhill to the cattle grid when it gets faster and gos very steeply downhill

Carlton

Traffic calming measures here mean a few speed bumps.

Although it looks to be straight ahead, you have to make a Right turn here up the narrow, quiet lane or Carla Beck

Ravenshaw

A very short but nasty climb onto the Right turn at the crossroads

Undulating and very quiet road towards Cononley now.

Cononley

Glusburn

Take the sharp Right uphill turn towards Lothersdale

A long uphill along here

Lothersdale
