This new major roadway to spill traffic into downtown also has an ample bike lane, seperated by some grass from the actual road.
A state sponsored bike trail meets up here - I believe it's known as PA Bike Route Z. So you can follow the signs to ride the trail and stay off of the main road.
The bike route gets a little hazy here, but this large park makes for great cruising through. Plus, it's an arboretum, if you're into trees and whatnot.
This is the entrance to Presque Isle State Park where you'll find a small amusement park for the fun times!
The park offers two distinct options - Bay Side, which is a great place for fishing and family picnics, or Lake Side, which is about as close to the beach experience as you'll get this far inland. Either one is great - so bring some beers and have a time!
