Circuit of Loch Katrine Western Scotland
by alf_keir

The way points of this bicycle route:

Aberfoyle Western Scotland

Surfaced trafic free road, starts at car park.

End of trafic free road

Although there is a car park at Loch Katrine, you are better to start the tour at Aberfoyle and get the hardest climb over, with fresh legs. Go through the car park at Loch Katrine and take the road anticlockwise round the Loch. After the first climb and descent you can expect to see about a hand full of cars on the route. This route is suitable for a mountain or road bike as all the surfaces are good to reasonable. On my road bike my lowest gear is 39/25 and thats low enough for this wonderfull route. Enjoy!
