turnoff for Schafer State Park - showers & camping - a fairly easy & scenic 7 mile ride. Park nothing too terribly impressive but a decent place to overnight.

becomes Central Park Drive - continue west - road is really odd through here (not in a bad way) as i recall - you'll have to see it for yourself, I can't explain.

becomes Port Industrial Rd., follow along the harbor

X - Bridge into Hoquiam

Junction with Hwy 109 - eponymous State Park on the beach with showers, camping. - there's a real strange but pretty good place to eat dinner up the hill at the Military (Coast Guard?) Station.
head south on Hwy. 109 - *** interesting sidetrip (i haven't done it so I'm speculating...) north on Hwy 109 up the coast about 15 miles to the end of the road - not paved all the way? ***
seems like there should be views along here but I don't remember any? ... it's been a few years.
Junction with Copalis Beach Rd. - continue south on Hwy 109
can't remember what's here...maybe a funky laundromat & convenience store..?

Ocean City State Park - camping

Twin Harbors Beach State Park - camping
Greyland Beach State Park - camping, showers. a pretty nice place to stay. Why do they let everyone drive on the beach around here?
The tourist destination time forgot. Buy something from these people, please.
a side trip to Tokeland, a mere 3 miles distant, is recommended. Excellent stately old lodge (the Tokeland Inn?) with pretty good food.
Willapa Bay - really beautiful, lots of birds, little traffic. Best part of the trip.

a strange but congenial place.

LEFT on Oldani/Willapa Rd. *you can stay on Hwy 6 if you want, but this is an interesting side trip that's not much longer distance-wise

this could be an interesting short cut to the east - but I haven't been on it.

Rainbow Falls State Park - camping, showers. Pretty nice spot. I find the Washington State Parks coin-op showers (2 bits per 3 minutes) thoroughly irritating.

nice little general store here, worth hanging out for a bit - continue south on Boisfort Rd.
somewhere in here we encountered a goat blockade - the billy goat was big & mean but finally, reluctantly, he let us pass.
Boisfort has become Wildwood Rd.

if you're curious, ride a couple miles over to Ryderwood - a sleepy retirement community.
junction with Winlock / Vader Rd.
RIGHT on Hwy 411 south
sidetrip in to Castle Rock (1 mile) is worth it - cool old downtown.

LEFT on 15th - follow signs for Longview Bridge to Oregon
access to Bridge over the Columbia river - this was pretty scary when we rode it (on the narrow sidewalk) but I think it's been improved for cyclists since then. If you don't like heights this may give you pause.
