This route connects Carmichael residents and Arden Arcade residents to the RT at Matherfield/Mills light rail station via a bike/ped bridge over the river. It is marked with painted on-street way-finding markings once it leaves the American River Parkway Bike Trail. It is tagged recreational because it allows the cyclist to utilize light rail trains to get to other recreational trails in Folsom and via Amtrak.

enter the ARP at the end of arden way

and veer left onto the paved path bike path just before the ranger gate.

turn left and climb to the top of the bridge.

stop on the bridge at one of the turn outs or just look down as you huff by to see the fishermen on the right in the morning.

turn right at the road, Rod Beaudry, the route from here on is painted with on-street wayfinding markings: "B2RT" combined with arrows

turn left onto the gravel road just before the ranger gate, proceed ~20 feet and turn onto the deadend street leading into the neighborhood.

the raod surface is poor at this turn, it is more of a problem on the return route or when wet.

Sac RT Gold Line - Mather Field/Mills Station

Bicycles are allowed on RT trains at all times, except for the front of the first train car. Bike lockers are available at the station for long-term rental. for more info go to http://www.sacrt.com/biking.stm
