The way points of this bicycle route:
Start is by the entrance road for the DoubleTree Cariari hotel along the InterAmericana highway #1 - (about 5km from the airport). It's about 0.75 km southeast from the Plaza Real Cariari shopping mall with bus stop, by way of a pedestrian bridge over the highway.
turn Right just after the Doubletree Cariari hotel
just past parking lot entrance bear Right
pass under pedestrian bridge for golf course
road turns right
now on street Calle Malecon
continue Straight, climbing hill thru intersection with street Calle Linda Vista
at green water tower at top of climb, turn Left
big view as start to go down hill
Option to shorten the route here: at the bottom of the hill, turn Right by the Security office.
turn Left by the Security office, then immediately another Left turn at the roundabout (Rotonda #2 for Bosques de Doña Rosa).
now on street Yurusty
turn Left after climbing up hill
road curves right, then goes down a hill
road turns Right
turn Left at roundabout: Rotonda #4 Bosques Doña Rosa
continue Straight thru roundabout (Rotonda #2 Bosques Doña Rosa) and pass by the Security office
Option to go more directly to the Plaza Real Cariari shopping mall and bus stop: turn Left at the end of this road, then soon in the midst of climbing up a big steep hill, turn Right. At the end of that street go Left (northwest) on the service road for highway #1 (sometimes much vehicle traffic on roadway not wide, and with no sidewalk) about 200 meters to the pedestrian bridge over the highway (all on ramps, no stairs) to the shopping mall.
at end of road, turn Right by entrance to Bosques de Doña Rosa -- small building "Fuerza Publica"

The route is about 5 km southeast from the airport, near bus stop on InterAmericana highway #1. Some short steep hills, and some moderate hills. Some smooth asphalt surface and some very coarse asphalt. Like many places in Costa Rica, not many road signs, so navigation is tricky the first time riding it.
