The Cape Cod Canal Service Road offers a scenic ride along the Cape Cod canal. A couple of tips to make the ride enjoyable: 1. Arrive early to avoid the inevitable heavy pedestrian, bicycle and rollerblade traffic during peak summer months. 2. Watch for oblivious fisherman using the road to cast their fishing lines. 3. When possible, begin your ride into the wind (there always seems to be wind here). It makes the return trip much more enjoyable! 4. During winter months, beware of sharp, broken shells in roadway dropped from altitude by seagulls.
