Canton 18 mile training loop
by stienman

The way points of this bicycle route:

Canton

Start at the Canton town recreation complex. Go south on Canton center road. You can do the loop in reverse, but by going clockwise you'll have no left turns.

Canton

This intersections isn't bad. Once you've turned right onto Geddes you'll find nice newly paved road (circa 2003) which is deteriorating quickly due to construction. :-(. Traffic gets lighter here, compared to canton center.

Superior Township

Traffic should be pretty light along here except during rush hour. You're only two miles from my house now...

Superior Township

Turn right on Prospect. If you need food, go south a mile from here for a gas station, or 1.5 miles to the chick-in drive in restaurant. Keep in mind that you don't have a window for a tray - excellent food.

Superior Township

The road is fairly decent here too - the traffic is fast, but there's a wide paved shoulder for some of it. Light traffic except during rush hour.

Superior Township

Heading back into Canton. Traffic is getting a bit more steady. As long as there's no construction (and when isn't there?) then it's a nice smooth ride into Canton.

Canton

Head south back towards the park. This is probably the busiest traffic you'll see the entire route.

Canton

Back at the park. Feel free to play in the water playground - the kids don't mind.
