Doesn't really show on the map, but it's the main fireroad trailhead which appears on the right. You immediately cross a short bridge and hit a dirt road. Climbing begins.

Water. Bathrooms. Shade.
Pavement again. Climbing almost over. Turn right and veer right (or veer left to make the last bits as steep as possible...)
