Cambridge to Burlington Commute (challenging)
by spokenword

The way points of this bicycle route:

Cambridge, MA

This is the more challenging version of my bike commute. Expect hills on Trapelo Rd., Mill St., Winter St., and Grove. Grove St. in particular is a good workout. It's a good alternate if you want something that isn't the Minuteman and/or want to cross Rt. 128 but don't want to use Rt. 2A or Rt. 4/225.

Watertown, MA

Belmont, MA

Lexington, MA

Beware the turn coming up to Hancock Lane. By this point you will be descending on a 9% grade and likely clocking 25 to 30 mph. The turn onto Hancock is sharp and there isn't a lot of room to manuever. Also, in the morning there is always oncoming traffic, so do yourself a favor and start braking before you see Wilson Road.

Bedford, MA
