After passing Mautby church, head straight over at the x-roads

Thrigby

The white painted (Thrigby Postmill) windmill is a prominent feature on the landscape from several miles around.

Stokesby

turn right at the junction. Charming tree lined village green and river front. There is a pub and seasonal shop-cum-tea room

A1064 junction

turn left. This road is, at various times, used by heavy lorries, tractors and holiday traffic etc, hence is sometimes busy.

Acle Bridge

Pub, shop selling ice creams etc. Watch the boats on the river underneath

Turn right, into Old Road. continue past the fire station and turn right at the next junction into Bridewell Lane which then becomes South Walsham Road

Continue ahead into South Walsham Road , or turn left into The Street for banks, coffee shop, Post Office, Co-op, Budgens, church etc

Mike Burrows country . Often seen in this area on one of his machines, he will usually say hi to passing cyclists.

Norwich

turn right at traffic lights into Blue Boar Lane, for the large Tesco's. Or, for Norwich city centre, continue straight ahead, and then straight ahead at the next junction too (Norwich is a reasonably cycle friendly place). Head towards the cathedral, a prominent feature on the skyline. There are Sheffield stand bike racks outside the Castle Mall shopping centre and The Forum (ask directions for the central library)
