The way points of this bicycle route:
Start
Turn left on the roundabout.
Service station with toilets and other shops nearby.
Turn right onto Moore Park Road, just before the main railway line.
Turn left into Oakwood Road.
Nice shady trees overhang the fence of the School. Nice place for a quick break, drink and snack.
There can be a bit of traffic on this road at times, but most drivers are curtious.
The Booloongie Rd turnoff to the right (over the main rail line) will be the return route - continue on the Bundaberg Lowmead Rd.
The Bucca Rd turnoff to the left is part of the return route - continue on the Bundaberg Lowmead Rd.
Bridge over the Kolan River.
Turn left into the Smith's Crossing Lowmead Rd. A very pleasant back country road.
Swing around the sharp bend and enter into the beautiful rest area of Smith's Crossing
Toilets, sheltered tables, grassed area. Stop for lunch and a rest. Enjoy the birds and the pleasant surrounds.
At time of writing the bridge is blocked to road traffic - navigable by bicycle.
Turn left onto Bucca Rd for the return trip to Bundaberg.
Covering some familiar ground on the return trip. Turn right heading back towards Bundaberg.
Turn left at Booloongie Rd. Up and over the main rail line.
Make sure you stop at the stop sign and look out for traffic.
Follow the sweeping right turn.
Turn right onto Fairymead Rd.
Left on the roundabout into Queen St.
Continue left watching for traffic as it builds up a little as you approach Bundaberg.
