The way points of this bicycle route:
Start
Turn left onto Von Deest St
At time of writing there was major road works in this area in preparation for the Ring Road (truck diversion). Take care crossing the main Isis Hwy.
Turn right onto Woodward Rd
The road is Gravel/Dirt from this corner to the next turn at Clayton Rd. Fine for riding, but do look out for loose dirt.
Caged birds in the house on the corner with the noisy fenced in dogs.
Bamboo growing on the sides of the road acting as windbreaks for the crops.
Turn left onto Wises Rd.
A row of tall Pine Trees along the road.
Boom gate rail crossing - you might be lucky enough to be stopped by a train. (I was)
Turn right onto Goodwood Rd. Can be busy at times - has a reasonable verge so keep well to the left.
Turn off the Goodwood Rd here into Bents Rd. Be very careful of traffic on the step downhill. Very pretty section of the Elliot River with the high overhead rail bridge. Good lunch/rest stop (no toilets, but plenty of trees).
Turn left onto Coonarr Rd.
Turn left onto Doctor Mays Crossing Rd.
Can be a very beautiful spot depending on the time of year and the available water. Typically water flowing under the road. Nice place to stop and have lunch or a break. (No toilets, but plenty of trees).
Turn left onto Langbeckers Rd.
There are many and varied ways to cross through town depending on where you are heading back to. This is a quiet back road that takes you back to the main Isis Highway. Enterprise St is busy during work hours.
