The way points of this bicycle route:
West on Hwy 246 to Drum Canyon Road.
Right turn on Drum Canyon Rd
Gradual climb for 4 miles.
1 mile of steep climbing. Roads are a bit rough here.
Watch your speed coming down the back side of the mountain. Roads are rough and it's just one lane.
Restroom break, water bottle fillup, etc.
About 8 miles west Hwy 135, a virtually flat road. Keep going till you reach Harris Grade Road.
Left (South) on Harris Grade Rd.
Starts really climbing here.
Enjoy the twisting downhill road!
Smooth pavement and a slight descent.
Left (East) on Purisma at the stop light.
Left Turn into the Park.
Rest stop #2. Great restroom facilities, some park benches and water fountains.
Head south from La Purisma State Park and take a right onto Hwy 246.
Take a left on Hwy 1. Lompoc city limits sign and Home Depot at the intersection.
South on Hwy 1 for 1.5 miles.
Left turn on Santa Rosa Road. There's a sizeable turn lane off of Hwy 1, plenty of time to make your way over.
Enjoy the horses, vineyards and scenery.
The home stretch, you're almost there.
