Note: Garmin Mapsource says Mud Road does not exist. From memory, I don't think it does either.

Short-cut #1: Make a right here.
Ride has been and continues to be scenic, low traffic, with rolling hills.
Now on Route 101. Busier road, but not bad on a late Saturday morning or early afternoon in May. 4 out of 10 Traffic.
Small store stop here. Home made sandwiches, etc. Two gasoline.pumps. Short-cut #2: Make a right here.
Long, rolling hills in this section.
Next section also scenic. One major downhill, followed by one major uphill, long and steep.
Scenic views continue and even improve. Rolling hills, medium high. One or two a bit more challenging. Traffic on a Saturday in May was a 4 out of 10.
Optional route for future investigation here to the righ on Martinsville Ford Road. Some maps show this road ending at the river, some do not.

Optional return to start: Turn right here to duplicate starting section of the route. Which we did. Otherwise for remainder of route, go straight here. Have not actually ridden this last section to 31W / 68 aka Louisville Road.
Corvette assembly plant will be on the left after I-65.
31W / 68 is a busy, though 4 lane road, with some turn lanes. Traffic on a Saturday afternoon in May was a 7 out of 10.
