Bridge to Bay
This route has been in the planning/making for over 7 years. Its official start is at the Blue Water Bridges in Port Huron, MI.
When completed it will be 54 miles one way, from Port Huron to Algonac along the St Clair river.
As of 2007 it is broken into short stretchs of trail, the longest being from the city of St Clair to Algonac. Some areas there are no bike path at all and one must ride on the road/street, in one area it is very busy and the speed limit for cars is 50mph.
The path that is finished is paved and very smooth and level, there is foot traffic as well as bike.
The Blue Water bridges are the entry way to the St Clair river and the end of Lake Huron.
This trail is very nice and runs along the water way for a sizable portion of the ride.
Port Huron is the largest city along it's path and runs thru the cities of Marysville, St Clair, Marine City and ends in Algonac. Each city has many restuarants and stores for rest stops and many parks.by ruckus63
