This is the approximate route of the 2008 Blue Ridge Extreme Metric Century (100K). Start is at the bottom of Wintergreen on Beech Grove Rd. This ride is very hard unsupported--there's no opportunity I know of to buy food or water. The final hill up Wintergreen is monstrously steep--the average (not marginal) grade over the last 4 miles exceeds 10 percent. by huntley
