The way points of this bicycle route:
You can start here. Park your car in front of little shopping park or on the streets behind it.
This is where the road ends. You'll need to carry your bike downhill.
Pass bike over fence or go around it from the left.
Join the dirt road. You'll get your first hill climb soon.
Enjoy the fast down hill. Be careful with those jumps.
Very steep hill, road made of concrete.
Turn right for a short detour to Mt Riverview.
You can leave your bikes here.
Nice view from here. If you look down you'll see lots of car wreckages.
Now you are back on the big intersection. You can choose to ride down via the road on your right (haven't done it myself - would probably be a better choice than the alternative) or by path that would be straight from the way you came.
Turn right and head down. There are lots of rocks and this path is almost impossible to ride, so you will be walking most of this path.
Follow the pipeline.
Turn right for a short downhill.
Uphill again.
This is where you would meet if you chose the easy path as I told you. Go left.
Keep going straight.
Cross the creek. You're gonna get wet.
Turn right. This should be fairly easy ride through the fern trees. Enjoy it!
Lots of ferns and tall trees.
Climb the hill until you see a house on your left.
Last turn and still climbing up.
You've done the climb. Now you get to ride on-road for a while. You should see the house I told you about.
Turn right to Singles Ridge Rd
You should see a big yellow boulder at this intersection (or silver, depends if it's painted). Turn left to Yellow Rock Rd. This is nice smooth ride downhill.
Turn right to Illingsworth Rd. Watch out for the traffic.
Keep riding down.
Get ready for a very steep road down. Hope your breaks work.
End of the road. I hope your breaks worked and you did not hit the sign blocking the end. Continue off-road on your right.
The right path should be shortly on your left. It's hard to find it as we just went straight to the dead end and had to walk back.
Most of this path is just zig-zag though the bush.
I bet you did some cursing. That's nothing. You can start cursing now. You're at the bottom and all from here is going up. Sandy road does not help either. Turn right and continue along the river.
I love these shady spots. They are nice and cool. The rest is just too damn hot.
Another cool spot.
Nice downhill.
Another cool spot.
And climb again.
Keep on the right
Another cool spot.
Keep on the right and get ready for hell. Steep climb ahead.
Cursing? More coming.
These parts are mostly rocky and sandy. Not an easy climb.
You can notice a single trail on your right and maybe some bikers as well. There are cross bikes tracks here as well so be careful.
The worst is over. You'll be still climbing but this will be easy (if you still have some energy left - I did not)
Turn left onto a dirt road.
Back in civilization. Go around the gate and continue on Grand View Dr.
Turn left onto Emu Plains Rd.
Turn right onto Rusden Rd. This road will take to back to the start point.
Almost at the end. If you feel hungry or thirsty you can go to the local grocery store or cafe (bit old cakes $5 and $2.50 for chai latte that tastes like steamed milk).
The end.
