Pass Terry Burn reserve
Cross Palace Road (again). Path is on right a little up the road heading into the trees.
Pass scout hall
Take left fork heading down toward creek. Right fork will turn hard right a little further on ... which is the wrong way.
Steep descent and steep climb to cross Toongabbie Creek
Return to Seven Hills Road. Need to cross here. Take care with traffic. You may choose to go down the hill here and cross under Seven Hills Road (as we did earlier). Crossing road here avoids steep descent and even steeper climb.
Follow footpath downhill for about 10-20 metres. Break in the trees (across dirt) here will let you back on the cycle path in William Joyce Reserve.
Return to William Joyce Reserve - Alternate Start/End point. From here you re-trace your steps back to Starting point.
Head back into windy path through bush - watch the speed on the sharp corners.
Back to old Windsor Road - nearly there.
Cross under Old Windsor Road (again)
End of cycle path - About 18 km round trip. Experienced cyclist can easily do loop in less than one hour. Kids will need 2-3 (4 ?) hours with rest breaks for food and plenty of time to play on the swings, throw rocks in the creek, explore tunnels under bridges etc.
