The way points of this bicycle route:
starting going east across the Hudson River on the Bear Mt Bridge - (begins on cue sheet East - A)
(Variation: to avoid a long section on dirt and see some great views over the River -- but instead encounter high motor traffic volume with some possibly bad-visibility curves, could instead turn Right on route 6 + 202 toward Peekskill)
Left - route 9D North - (going this way later requires a long climb and descent on dirt)
Right - Manitou Rd - (dirt) - (up hill)
Right - South Mountain Pass Rd - (dirt) - (total climb after leaving Rt 9D is about 400 vertical feet, average steepness about 6% grade -- but several steeper sections with gentler in between -- then a long downhill on dirt, with some short steep sections that could be dangerous to ride if road is not dry.)
Right - route 9 South
(big view across river to Bear Mt from park next to the Peekskill train station) - (end cue sheet East - A, begin cue sheet East - B)
(big view of the river)
(Variation: to save a mile, but miss a river view which not one of the best on this route, instead continue straight on rt 9A South)
Right at sign for Croton Harmon train station (Croton Point Ave)
(side trip: for some more river views, can instead continue straight here toward Croton Point)
after going under the highway, turn Left onto bike trail along the west side of the highway
bike path ends, joins route 9 South - (end of cue sheet East - B, beginning of cue sheet East - C)
Right - Aqueduct St
just after passing under bridge, turn Left on (unsigned) Brandreth St (opposite Ann St)

From the Bear Mountain Bridge south thru Peekskill to Ossining along the east side of the Hudson River. Route tries to find many river views, so it has many turns and extra distance -- but most of these are optional -- it's usually pretty obvious how to skip one of the viewpoints.
