The way points of this bicycle route:
Park at the first gate near the top of Barrengarry Mountain on the Western side of Moss Vale Road.
Over the gate, you'll soon be riding parallel to the canal.
Stay on the road. There's a pipeline going down the hill on the left.
Take the Right Fork here - it's not too obvious. There are three ways to go here, make sure you keep to the Right.
The easy stuff is over for a while. Now there is a bit of uphill to negotiate.
Top of the little climb. It's all downhill from here.
Approaching a serious descent with a few hairpin bends. Exercise EXTREME CAUTION approaching the hairpins - there is no runoff and if you overshoot, they won't find your body.
This next bit is the steepest of the ride - approaching -35% gradient.
That's the descent. Turn Left onto Jack's Corner Road.
Bendeela Pondage and Kangaroo Valley Power/Pumping Station
Have a look at the Hamden Bridge while you're here. See how much it flexes as trucks drive across it.
