The way points of this bicycle route:
Park at Spaulding High School
Turn right onto Rte 14
Merge with Rte 302 west
Turn right onto Rte 14, or avoid part of the climb by continuing to Montpelier on Rte 302 and catching Rte 12 north.
Turn right, staying on Rte 2
You can cut the ride short by making the steep, but beautiful climb through Groton State Park on Rte 232.
The store at Joe's Pond is a great place to take a break.
Turn right onto Peacham Rd.
Peacham dates to 1776. You definitely want to stop in this classic Vermont town.
Turn right onto Rte 302 after the incredibly steep descent into Groton.
Turn left on Hill St, or continue to Rte 14 if you can't stop in time.
Turn hard left onto Ayers St and return to Spaulding HS.

This ride is hilly, with almost 5,000' of climbing, but it has some really nice sections, especially through Peacham. This is definitely the direction you want to ride it. You will be rewarded with a nice, long descent at the end.
