Commence this ride from the Post Office heading West towards Gordon.
Take care crossing this intersection.
Beginning of the moderate climb to Gordon.
Gently climbing and smell the eucalypts along this section.
Climb now sees use of lower gears. Keep the cadence up!
Road levels out for easier pedalling.
A short, sharp climb to the Post Office.
Past the Catholic Church and School for a downhill run to Millbrook. Road narrows here but generally quiet.
Turn left into McGuigan Road.
Left again along Millbrook Egerton Road. Watch for eagles and hang gliders.
Turn right and head south towards Mount Egerton. A good road surface.
Start the climb into the small township of Mount Egerton. General store here for food and drink. Road narrow and rough.
Turn left for a downhill run on a good and wider road surface.
A good road and take in the magnificent, elevated view.
Take care for the next few km as road becomes narrow and rough.
A steep downhill descent over the bridge. Prepare for the long climb after the bridge.
A steady rise to the Geelong Ballan road. Surface, bumpy.
Turn left to travel a few km along the main road to Ballan. Good surface, but take care as road can be busy with trucks.
Turn right at intersection.
Turn right along Gillespies Lane. Not far now.
Left turn and head north. Watch the rail crossing.
Left turn for a short pedal to end the ride at the Post Office. Food and drink at shops.
