The way points of this bicycle route:
(This route has been done as a part of a couple of tours - See 'Comments' Link) Start of the East Gippsland Rail Trail, on the southern side of the Princes Hwy just East of the Mitchell River bridge.

(Harmans Rd crossing. Bit steep up to road level, as this is a sidetrack - There used to be a tunnel under the road).

(Bruthen has a bakery, well stocked general store, several cafe's, hotel, camping ground etc).

(For access to camping ground, turn left off rail trail onto gravel path and follow back along Bruthen-Nowa Nowa Rd to the main entrance of the sports ground. Turn in and head to the right).

(Seaton Track crossing). Also start (or close to) Discovery Trail/Access track to Mississippi Ck trail. The section down to Quarry Rd has some steep hills. Alternative Access to Mississippi Ck Trail via Lakes-Colquhoun Rd, Uncles Rd (sandy) and Quarry Rd.
(Lakes - Colquhourn Rd crossing. I think Colquhourn railway station was somewhere around here.)

Toilets (no water) at start of Stony Ck Trestle Bridge on Bruthen side.
Stony Ck Trestle Bridge. Steep/Sandy ascent & descent to bridge bypass track (Probably worse on the Nowa Nowa side). With loaded touring bikes, we used two people to push most bikes up the other side. (Also accessable by car from Old Nowa Nowa Rd....This is very rough and a bit sandy though !!) The Rail Trail between here and Nowa Nowa is also a bit sandy in patches.
Path to Kingston St branches off rail trail to the right.
Turn right onto Nowa Nowa Rd, and proceed down the hill.
Mingling Waters Caravan Park/Cafe on other side of Hwy. Hotel/Motel on this side. General Store and Nowa Nowa Caravan Park a few hundred metres left up Princes Hwy.
