The way points of this bicycle route:

Jamaica Plain

Route starts here; follow bike path to Forest Hills "T" station @ Washington St.

Washington St/Arborway: R to the traffic light then L & quick R @ light after overpass on South St. CAUTION TRAIN TRACKS

Stay on South St as it turns L. Go past Arboretum R turn @ Bussey St.

L on Walter St; becomes South St @ Fallon Field

Hyde Park

L Turn South to Walworth St Cross Belgrade @ lights goto Leniston St

R on Liniston then straight (R jog) to Nikisch St.

Nikisch: L turn on to Brahms St. Cross Washington to Blue Ledge

CAUTION: Crossing guards will help @ this x-ing. Right jog straight across to Blue Ledge. Go to Highcrest; Stay on Sidewalk.

R turn on to Highcrest uphill 1 block.

R on to Blue Ledge (It loops back on itself). Immediate left turn to Stonybrook Reservation.

Stonybrook Entrance: Left turn, Follow trail to "Y" split. Make sure you follow direction signs.

End of the line: Bald Knob Rd/Enneking Pkwy. This is where the 15 & 25 routes split. L on Enneking Follow the YELLOW BNB ROUTE MARKERS L on Enneking/Bald Knob

R on to Gordon then L on River Stay on River to Cleary Sq. Follow Yellow BNB marks & BAT 25 signs to Fairmont.

River St Curves L @ Junction of Central Av & Faimont St. Fairmont curves R. STAY ON FAIRMONT & CROSS TRUMAN HWY.

R Turn on to Pond St; jogs L to Williams AV. ALT ROUTE stay on Fairmont to Brush hill follow directions to RT-138.

Williams Av: R on to Brush Hill.

Milton

Intersection: Neponset Valley Pkwy & Milton St. Continue on Brush Hill. Stay straight then R @ Neponset Valley split.

R turn on to Rt-138, then R on to Green St. (Route will be marked on ground then posted w/ "BAT 25" signs when you enter the Blue Hills Reservation)

R on Green to Royal St. This is just before Trailside Museum on left side of the road.

L on to Royal then straight to lights @ Rt-138 intersection. Straight across to Blue Hill River Rd. BIKE-A-THON 25 Signs posted on stakes. Road marks not in use until Rt-28. 62 mile route & 25 mile routes merge @ Rt-138 & Blue Hill River Rd. Follow the posted BAT-25 signs. CAUTION: BUSY INTERSECTION.

Canton: Blue Hills

REST STOP:

Continue ride on Hillside to Split @ Unquity Rd. BAT 25 signs posted. 62 & 25 Split; Stay on R Split Hillside St.

Stay R & follow Chikataubut Rd to Randolph Av (RT-28).

CAUTION HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC: L on to RT-28 @ lights. Go to Pleasant St. NOTE: No more BAT 25 signs Follow orange BNB paint marks again.

Milton

R on to pleasant @ deli. Follow Pleasant to intersection of Lawrence Rd & Edge Hill Rd where it takes SHARP L.

Take sharp L continue on Pleasant. Past McKinnon Av on R, then jog R @ Murray Av. LOOK OUT FOR BNB ROAD MARKERS

Pleasant jogs R @ Gordon then L @ Westvale. Then crosses Brook Rd. STAY on Pleasant

Left on Adams St. Use crosswalk in traffic island. Continue on Adams. (Long Uphill then long down hill.)

CAUTION: Down hill is steep just before L to Eliot SLOW DOWN!!!!!

L on to Eliot, then R to Central Av

R on to Central then L on River, long Stretch to Freemont.

Mattapan

R on to Fremont then R on to Babson (2nd R). Take Babson to Norfolk St.

L on to Norfolk then R on Blue Hill Av. Then L to Walk Hill. CAUTION:BAD STRETCH OF ROAD FOR BIKES!!!!!!!! Use Traffic lights.

Almont & Walk Hill St: 25 mile Ride converges with 15 & 62. Straight on Walk Hill to Hyde Park Av. Follow BNB markers back to the Bike Path.

Walk Hill & American Legion: Traffic lights, stay straight.

Alt Route:

Back in JP

R turn to Hyde Park Av. Straight to Arborway overpass.

CAUTION: Go under Arborway overpass Watch for trolley tracks. Bike path is to L @ intersection Cross diagonally up to curb cut to side walk & entrance to path.

Take bike path back to Stonybrook.

THE FINISH: Food, water, adoring crowds, the podium, champagne* @ the festival (* Age restrictions apply)
