The way points of this bicycle route:
Jones curves to the right and the IHT starts to feel more like a real trail.
Cross the Contra Costa Canal trail and keep going south.
Turn right on Newell Avenue.
Cross under I-680. New3ell will turn residential here and go down to two lanes.
Turnm left ponto Olympic Boul;evard's bike mane.
At Reliez Station Road, the Lafayette-Moraga trail starts. You will take this all the way to Moraga Road in Moraga.
The trail crosses St. Mary's Road and continues alongside it going south.
Around here we start a mile-long gradual descent, which is a nice break from the from the gradual ascent that has marked the whole ride so far. In about a mile we'll start the gradual uphill again.
Cross Moraga *Road*. This is not our exit yet.
Turn right on Moraga *Way*. You will soon have a bike lane. We will take this road all the way into Orinda.
At Camino Ricardo, take the sidewalkish bike trail that parallels Moraga Way, or stay on the bike lane. Your choice.
Sidewalk-y bike path ends, get back in the bike lane along Moraga.
Bike lane appears to end at Ivy Drive. COntinue along Moraga.
Bike lane here. Continue.
Curve left to stay on the main route, which is now Camino Pablo. Moraga Way turns right and goes into downtown Orinda.
Cross under Hwy 24 and the BART tracks
turn right into the BART station's parking lot.
