The way points of this bicycle route:
****CAVEAT: I have not taken this route yet, only planned it. There may be errors!**** (Also check the elevation profile) Orinda BART station parking lot. Go north on Camino Pablo.
Start on a bike path parallel to Camino Pablo. Take it to its end at Bear Creek Road.
Left on Bear Creek and then right on Camino Pablo.
Right on *Old* San Pablo Dam Road
Right, back onto main San Pablo Dam Road.
Castro Ranch road is a popular route for cyclists who like hill/loop rides. We keep going straight, though.
Appian Way is another popular route. However, we go straight. Turning right gets you on a route that eventually leads to Vallejo.
Careful here. San Pablo Dam Road curves to the right, but you should go straight ahead to get on Amador Street.
Turn right on Clinton Avenue. It turns into McLaughlin Avenue in a block.
Left on Nevin, then the next right on Key Boulevard.
Right on Cutting, then left under the BART tracks, at the start of the Ohlone Greenway bike trail.
Left, into Ohlone Greenway trail. This trail follows the BART tracks up to and past the North Berkeley station. We'll take it that far.
Pass the El Cerrito BART station. El Cerrito Plaza is one more block ahead and to your left. Plenty of food options.
BART goes underground . Hang a right onto Peralta, then a sharp left onto Hopkins.
Cross Hopkins, spot the tennis courts, and ride alongside them to the right.
Right on Ordway.
Cross Rose, and cycle either right or left around Cedar Rose park.
Cross Cedar. The path picks up ahead to your left and does a 90 degree turn to the left inside the next block.
Ride the path alongside the parking lot.
Cross the barriers in the intersection to get to the North Berkeley BART station.
You've arrived at N. Berkeley BART.
