Antietam Battlefield

A 67 mile variation on the PPTC route, Antietam Scout, that is improved by wandering through the battle field, whereas the club ride oddly skips Antietam by staying on the main road. The ride starts and ends at the Urbana Maryland park and ride, which is just off the Urbana exit from route 270. There is a great coffee shop at mile 19.9 in Middletown and a market at mile 37.3 in Sharpsburg. Note that, at around mile 55, Mountville road crosses a busy route 15 at a traffic light that is at the bottom of a fast descent. (thanks to brandolph!)by huntley
