Ride start
TL before Princes Bridge and continue down onto Birrarung Marr
Veer left under the Swan St. bridge
Continue SO along the floating pontoons
Veer right down hill alongside the freeway
Turn left onto the Gardiners Creek Path
Continue along the bike path suspended under the freeway
Veer right under the bridge and loop arond onto Glenferrie Rd.
TR onto Glenferrie Rd continue under the freeway bridge
TR onto the Gardiners Creek Path. Continue SO following Gardiners Creek
TR across the creek.
TL into Brixton Rise
TL off Brixton Rise back onto the Gardiners Creek Path. The Post Office Cafe and Nursery is on your right further up Brixton Rise. Enter through the carpark, park your bike in their downstairs yard
Pitstop at TH King Reserve. Toilets at the right-hand end of the pavillion across the oval. Water near the Rotunda on the bike path
Continue along the trail, taking care at road crossings
Yes, you are in the middle of a golf course. Turn left over the Solway bridge. There is a steep climb off the end, so select a low gear before crossing.
Proceed along the shared path on Ryburne Ave for 200m to the start of the Anniversary Trail across the road on your left
Continue along the trail taking care at road crossings
Cross Toorak Rd using the lights to your left
TL up the lane at the end of the shops to rejoin the trail
Continue along the trail taking care at road crossings
Turn left along Riversdale Rd footpath and cross with the pedestrian lights
Cut across Riversdale Park and turn right onto Spencer St
TR onto Spencer St
Just prior to Prospect Hill Rd TR onto the and cross left onto the trail about 50m down the road
TL across the road to return to the trail
Veer to the left and take the path UNDER Canterbury Rd
Cross Whitehorse Rd with the lights. Several cafes in the near vicinity
Cross Burke Rd with the lights
Cross High St. with the lights. The path is on the other side to the left
Dodgy roundabout - use the path across to your right
Take care at the Eastern freeway on and off-ramps - use the lights but still keep an eye out for turning traffic
Cross the Chandler Hwy with the lights outside the Guide Dogs
Ride the on-road path past the Boulevard, then ride up onto the footpath
TL, follow the path to to top of the hill
Top of the hill - Photo opportunity with great views out over the city. Turn right at the top of the hill into Yarra Bend Park after you have taken in the great views out over the city. Take care on the steep descent to the Pipe bridge over the Yarra
Cross the Pipe bridge
Select a low gear as you leave the bridge - sharp uphill turns ahead!
Toilet and water stop
TL and ride through the carpark and acroos the park to the Heidelberg Rd bridge
TL into the pak just over the bridge
TL and follow the path down under the bridge. Take care of the steep descent
Take care on these two wooden bridges if they are wet
Check out the brickwork arches under the High St bridge
Use the subway under Rushall station to cross the railway tracks. Watch out for pedestrians
You are now on the Capital City Trail. Continue West along the path past the front of Rushall Station
SO take care at road crossings
SO take care at road crossings
Toilets are available on Royal Parade to your right. Go left off the path here and TR at Royal Parade. Return the same way to the Capital City Trail
Continue under Royal Parade
Veer left along the railway line
TR across the railway line
Take care crossing the tram tracks
TL and cross the road with care. Path continues South across the road
Continue SO along the Capital City Trail
Continue SO across the new pedestrian bridge
Take care on the descent from Flemington Bridge station
Hard left at the bottom of the ramp. Continue along the Moonee Ponds Creek path towards Docklands
Take care crossing over to the other side of Footscray Rd
TL and follow the shared path into Docklands
Continue SO on the LHS of the tram track
TL intoCollins St.
