The way points of this bicycle route:

Sunshine

Get over Western Hwy on the ped bridge, then hop onto the footpath up to Burke St

Left at Burke St

Right at Cranwell St

Turn Left, descend to the river. Plenty of gravel here - wasn't much fun on slick tyres with my camera in my back pocket!

Stay close to the golf course fence, there's an "unofficial" trail which is more solid.

Cross the cool pipe-line bridge.

Turn right - surface is much better now: fine hard pack gravel.

This steep bit is pretty hard on slick tyres - you need a good run up to make it.

Steep ascent starts here, thankfully we're back onto concrete.

Top of the hill

Now the really fun part - down the other side!

Cross the bridge that appears around here - path is better on the other side.

Footscray

End of the river path, head back up to Footscray rd

Middle Footscray

Right at Victoria St

Left at Barkly

Right at Gordon St

Left at Essex st

West Footscray

Braybrook

Right at Ashley St - perhaps onto the footpath for a short section.

Left at Hampden St

Right at Melon St

Left at Churchill Ave - we get a bike lane here

Braybrook

Right at Duke St

Left at Hertford Rd

Sunshine

And were back where we started
