R on Danville Blvd
L on Hilgrade, blast up the steep hill.
R on Crest.
L on Tice Valley
L on Olympic
Left up the nasty hill, or straight on the path that will join back later. Your call.
Straight across to Glenside
R to stay on Glenside Dr.
Trail crosses here; can take it or stay on road.
L on St. Marys.
trail crosses here from the easy route. even if you took the trail, I prefer the road from here out.
L on Moraga Rd; trail rejoins here
R on Pinehurst. The L goes through some redwoods, towards Redwood Road. That's a different trip, though you can get up to skyline that way too.
There used to be streetcar/railroad service here, with a tunnel through the hill over to Shepherd Canyon Rd, last used in 1957. The entrance was about here on this side. When you go up the climb here, you'll know why they tunnelled through.
Make sure you get on Skyline, not one of the others.
Straight across, to switchback climb up Grizzly Peak.
R on to Lomas Cantadas, ending up on El Toyonal. This is a shortcut; you can also go through S park drive and take all of Wildcat canyon; Or perhaps the skyline trail.

Straight across San Pablo Dam Rd and up the Bear.
R on Happy Valley Rd.
Straight on Happy Valley
L on Mt Diablo Blvd

L on Rudgear
R on Shamrock Dr, then take path cutthrough to Young Ct.
L on Alamo Country Circle
R on Livorna Rd, and back to the park.
