The way points of this bicycle route:
Ive started from the center of coxheath but you can just ride out to the closest point to u and join in
When you get here look for a tarmac driveway on your left. The entrance to the wood is virtually opposite that
Make sure you HAVENT turned left at the crossroads, the path you want is a small path on the left about 20-30 meters on
tight switch back, no berm and plenty of trees to clip the handlebars on. Get on the brakes if this is your first attempt
for about 200 meters on the route is a bit of an approximation so follow the route as best you can by using the path between the trees
I no this part is correct
This is a busy road, look both ways and move fast,.
back on the road
As you turn in to here u should be basically under an electricity pilon
out on the road
turn in at the pub
get your speed up, if its dry u can blast this, its ever changing as well because of the horse riders.
nip into one of the lines of trees, get some pear refreshment if they're ripe.
out onto the road for about 50 meters
there is a bridlepath entrance opposite a farm entrance.
CAREFUL OF DOG WALKERS - there is enough room for 2 people just try to keep to one side round corners and generally safe round here. There arent many, but u can get quite fast down here.
a bit of light downhill, the first parts smooth with nicely naturally bermed corners.
Starts getting very rooty here and the camber shifts a lot. It's a nightmare in the wet.
If its been raining a lot this is awful, all the water collects here and turns the mud to slurry. In recent years the farmer has added drainage which has helped a lot but not sorted the problem completely.
out on the road, chill out a bit and let the wrist stop humming for about half a mile.
Onto som nice fire roads past fields which vary from lettuce (perfect refreshment) to strawberries.
you can cut straight to the right here but i like trying to get as fast as i can in the dry hopping in and out of the tractor tracks ruts
follow the rim of the resivoir
and drop down the bank, theres various spots to go down depending on how fast and confidently u feel u can hit the drops
Rutted fire road really good in early spring as the fresh tyre ruts arent rounded off yet.
a lot of road work from here
time to start quite a relentless up hill struggle
flatter
up hill again
up up and up, strawberries and rasberries to the left if you interested
retrace your wear u have come from along this bit
stop following where uve already been and continue on the road for a bit
off camber corner thats quite gravelly many a times have i ended up on my ass in the woods that border it
turn downhill, if your feeling up for a bit of freeride by now theres a pretty sizable drop at the end of here if u take a grassey bank up at the end just before it opens up into a field, probably best to spot your landing and take off first, ive had a friend that hurty himself badly following me off without checking it....i should have worned him...
follow the top or bottom of the bank
u can opt out of the uphill by going through a little footpath about here
footpath out about here
A bit of road downhill, let the brakes off and go for it here most of the turns a quite shallow, see if u can catch the car in front :P
turn in where the VERY SMALL village green is, yup that small triangle with the sign on it
there is a big oak where u need to turn into. Up hill section starts here
flattens out nicely here
I tight bit of singletrack. Hedge one side, barbed wire the other
Cross over the road onto more singletrack
Downhill section with plently of loose stuff, off camber turns, a bit of bermage and more lines that u could shake a stick at.
on the road again
testing uphill
A sometimes scarily tight footpath. If your hitting it fast pray for your spacial awareness to be on top form. Lovers of wide bars: probably a good idea to take this slow
a last bit of road to warm down on
into the local cafe for a dose of coffee and Carbs

A nice little blast around the garden of England. You could start this ride from any of the various villages it goes through. Its not the most technically challenging, but if you havent got the time to go to our local bike parks in the evening this will keep the skills in check so u can keep shreading next time you do get the time to go.
