The way points of this bicycle route:
Park your car here free before the park entrance. Starting here will give you a bit of a warmup rather than parking directly at the base and starting from there.
From the parking lot enter the gates and make right towards a paved fire trail.
start of a 1/2 mile mild climb
Short descent down to the Alum Rock Ave junction.
Mile 3.18 - Beginning of Alum Rock Avenue
3.88 Miles - Beginning of Mount Hamilton Climb. This is the typical spot where most riders park and then ride.
Mile 5.68 - Crothers road is a more challenging option in getting to Mt. Hamilton so you can use that route as an option to starting Mount Hamilton.
11.42 Miles - Use the park as a rest stop to use the restrooms and to fill up water bottles.
Mile 21.95 Loop Endpoint. Relax and enjoy the view!! Fill up water in the drinking fountain in the far end of the bulding inside. Restrooms are available in there too!
