The way points of this bicycle route:
Melb. Ride of Silence - Saturday 19th May 2007. Assemble at Fed Square. Cnr. St Kilda Rd & Flinders St. Assemble for 10am start.
Walk bicycles across ped crossing between Flinders St station and Fed Square. NB: this is the new crossing opposite Flinders St station on St Kilda Rd, *not* the corner of Flinders and Swanston. Line up towards Swanston, wait for light signal, ride no more than two abreast up Swanston St Walk. Please be patient as this may take several light signals for the ride to proceed through.
Left turn into Collins St from Swanston St Walk. Please follow light signal and be mindful of pedestrains also crossing at the lights.
Right turn from Collins Street into Harbour Esplanade.
Right turn from Harbour Esplanade into La Trobe Street.
Right turn from La Trobe into Swanston St Walk. Again, this may take several light signals for the ride to proceed through. Please be mindful of other road users and follow all traffic signals.
Left turn from Swanston St Walk into Bourke Street. Please be follow all traffic signals and share the intersection with pedestrians and motorists.
Ride up Bourke Street to Spring St to Parliament House Steps. We will stop here for 10-15 minutes for talks/speeches, then ride down to Treasury Gardens for a after-ride wind down and chat.
Finish the ride in Treasury Gardens. Feel free to have a chat to other riders and make plans for nearby coffee or go for lunch.
