The way points of this bicycle route:

Start/Finish at Centennial Park

Spectating will be optimal where one is here for the start. One could then cycle over to the Jackson/Highland intersection for the whole race then high-tail it back on the last lap to watch the finish. I wonder whether beer will fit in my bike's bottle cages. Oh, I know: I'll bring my commuter, which has saddle bags -- one six pack per side.

One big "race in town" bonus is that they will probably clean this section of Jackson, which was pretty rocky and glassy when I rode it today (March 6).

There will be crashes here. The corner has not only lumpy pavement, but there are storm grates (as I remember), and the direction of the turn is off camber.

I wonder whether the competitive spirit will spill over from the scary dudes who hang out in this park's central gathering area. Their regular competition: dice.
