| The route is 70% off road and 30% on-road. There is little traffic along the way, but cross walks on some street can be challenging. (Recommend walking) You will travel through four city, Lansing, Calumet City, Village of Burnham, and Chicago. Along the way you will pass and see some beautiful sites. This is a 25 mile One-way trip. I grew up in the area, and use to ride to the loop often, before bike paths, or routes. We stayed in Lansing, Motels much, much cheaper. I and one other person rode this rout and it was great. There are great places to stop and look around. Our journey started at 8 AM, which took 4 ½ hours stopping on the way before arrive in the Loop area. We departed after lunch at 1 PM, and stopped only for water and personal, took us 2:15 to get back. |
