| On road country lane sections, moderate hill climb to start/warm up. Two or three good descents, usually very muddy but rolls well.
Stop at the Upton Cheyney Inn for excellent food and nice service.
Returning to the golf course opens up the chance to further off-road it in to the Swainswick area, then down to the towpath for further access to woods. |

Start clock at bottom of Widcombe at the first street light on your left - beside the cloisters. STraight down Brassknocker. Left on the short cut at the bottom of BK to hit the A36. Up Claverton. Left at top onto main road. Down Bathwick. Right at roundabout at bottom and then right again onto Sydney Place. Then right up Nth Rd. Near the top turn left into the uni. Go straight through uni ave. Left after the sports complex to go down Claverton. Right onto A36. Take right go up short cut onto Brassknocker.
