| Very flat and quite roads throughout. You ride the quietest road in the world (it must be an old Mayan Road) through mangroves (pink flamingo country) and arrive at Cenote Noc Ac to cool down. You can also go into the Mayan ruins at Dzibilchaltun (it has another cenote good for swimming). | |||||
| Yucatan Villages around Merida and Progress Coastlineo | MissPrue | Oct 8th | Mexico > Yucatan > Merida | 180.1km | Recreational, Training, Onroad, Low traffic, Safe, Rural, Touring |
| This ride can start and finish in Progresso, or as we did from Chixulub. All the roads are exceptionally quiet and you will travel through tiny sleepy fishing villages and inland farming communities and villages. The entire route is a bit over 190kms but as you can see there are numerous ways to make it longer or shorter. All villages will have at least a shop where you can refill your drink bottles, and local helados (icecreams) are delicious. | |||||
