| Travel along the river for mountain bike trails with moderate difficulty. Obsticles (gulleys, streams, medium sized loose rock) can easily be walked over. Some sections on east side of the river are quite muddy after rain. |

| For the Roadie who wants a mix of roads and bike trails with some climibing, too, all for a quick workout. Traffic typically light, most roads in great shape. |

Best done early weekends before traffic commences. I've done this route on weekdays as well but there is a huge difference in traffic volume. |

| Moderate traffic - some portions little-to-no traffic others with high traffic. Not a route for the inexperienced 'on road' cyclists. If the idea of a trip among the heavy traffic of Schuylkill Road, with its very wide shoulders, causes you to cringe with anxiety then this Phoenixville Pughtown Loop may not be your wisest choice. 1540 climing feet. |
